About the performers

kisserShire of Lost Forest (SCA) - The SCA is an international organization dedicated to researching and re-creating the arts and skills of pre-17th-century Europe. Our "Known World" consists of 19 kingdoms, with over 30,000 members residing in countries around the world. Members, dressed in reconstructions of clothing from the Middle Ages, create and attend events which may feature tournaments, arts exhibits, classes, workshops, dancing, feasts, and more.

The Shire of Lost Forest has meetings in Warrensburg, Missouri on the first and third Wednesdays of every month at 7 p.m. The general public is welcome to attend, and information will be provided on both the Society and the European Middle Ages. Feel free to contact HL Banba MacDermot at banba@forgottensea.org for more information about the Shire.

diegoCaravan Gypsies -
During the reign of Queen Elizabeth, trade with the Turkish Ottoman Empire existed by ship and by walking caravan. Walking caravans were extremely common between 1150 and 1573, when unfavorable economic conditions halted ship travel between England and the Ottoman Empire. Our performing company depicts a camp of gypsies that travels with one such walking caravan, entertaining the caravan and the peoples of the various cities along their route with music, dancing, storytelling, and whatever other amusements might send a coin or two their way. Of course, things don't always go as planned...
